The LIST 2006

This was a good year for rock 'n' roll - here are my picks for best albums of 2006, and also my favorite songs. There seems to be more local music in my list this year (Comrade, Centro-Matic, Midlake) and also more old guys than usual (Dylan, Simon, Springsteen) but it just worked out that way. These are the albums that made me take notice of the changing landscape of music and also made me dig deeper into some of the artists' older work. These are the musicians and bands that grabbed me and wouldn't let go.
